It&#8217;s a sound I can only really describe as sleaze. This sound isn&#8217;t celebrating\u00a0the campness and escapism\u00a0of Hi NRG or Italo &#8211; it sits somewhere else, just down a bit in the cheap seats. It&#8217;s\u00a0a seedy sound of broken hearts, base\u00a0lines, cheap\u00a0drum machines&#8230; and yes, sex. Desperation and dancing.
